Homeless Alliance of Oklahoma City has created WestTown, a “campus of care” for Oklahoma City’s homeless population.
WestTown’s Resource Center offers a nonprofit “one-stop-shop” with multiple social service agencies located under one roof at NW 3rd and Virginia. An adjacent Day Shelter offers a place of refuge where homeless and near homeless can eat, rest, shower, read and search for employment.
The architectural design incorporates durable materials, simple lines, sustainable landscaping and mechanical systems to minimize expense of operations.
“Practical architectural experience and expertise are critical, of course, to the success of any building project. However I would submit that TAP's commitment to helping people and making Oklahoma City better is at least as important. For you and your firm, this kind of project is more than a job, it's a calling. It's the important difference and that's why I'm honored to recommend TAP Architecture to anyone considering your firm."
