The first elementary school constructed under Oklahoma City’s MAPS for Kids program, this facility is heralded as a model for the entire school district. The school includes classrooms, athletic fields, a “cafetorium,” library and Media Classroom Center. MLK Elementary School allowed TAP to explore new boundaries of conventional thinking towards elementary education as we enjoyed creating a learning environment with the boundaries needed by children, while remaining flexible enough to respond to future needs.
