TAP ARCHITECTURE was selected to design this historic preservation dream project: the rehabilitation and renovation of Oklahoma State University’s oldest and most distinctive building, Historic Old Central. In addition to research, investigation, documentation and authenticity, the design team used graphic innovation to identify and evaluate every component and space and, in turn, throughout the design process.
The new home of OSU’s Honor’s College, the result is a pristine modern interior that resides within a painstaking historic restoration. Widely recognized for innovation and respectful design, Historic Old Central has been honored with the Preservation Honor Award by Oklahoma AIA, the Citation of Merit by State Historic Preservation and the Build Oklahoma Award.
