Drawing inspiration from iconic
mid-century gas stations, this park concession on the old Route 66
in Edmond, Oklahoma pays homage to the rest and refreshment offered
travelers in the heyday of the Mother Road. Teamed with Jacobs
Engineering, TAP ARCHITECTURE’s graphics
& design wizard Daniel
Douthit has had a grand time morphing the typical box-shaped
park concession into a design that speaks of decades of American
fun and adventure.
